Maternity Leave

Quick Summary
Classic/Custom bag orders must be placed before May 3rd for my normal 3-4 week turnaround time!
Orders placed after May 3rd will have an 8-10 week processing time!

Well hey! Long time, no self-portrait. Check out our latest DIY project due in June!

Thanks to insomnia and pregnancy-induced carpal tunnel, some of my business plans for the year have been a little delayed, but don't worry, I'm getting some (unpaid) help with sewing and modeling very very soon!

Now that we're in our 8th month, I have been contemplating my maternity leave situation...

In my little one-woman business, my ability to generate revenue is wholly dependent on my continuous input into the highly-demanding system that is: designing, making, promoting, and selling. The idea of suddenly taking a break from what has completely consumed my life for the past 9 years has led me through an emotional dance of deciding what to do with my business after I enter motherhood.

As much as I would love to continue working at full capacity postpartum, my time will soon be split between my business and the highly-demanding system that is: feeding, cleaning, healing, and endless hours of baby snuggling/wardrobe changing/photographing. Thus, I'm taking a break from bag construction for 8 weeks, starting in June.

So!

- May 3rd May 10th is the deadline to place your orders for my 3-4 week processing time!!
- Orders placed after May 3rd will take ~8-10 weeks to process.
- Select Sale/Ready to Ship bags, leather scraps, and swatches will still be available for shipment, but made to order items will have extended processing times.

Please place your orders ASAP if you're considering a bag for your summer adventures!  Don't wait until the very last day, as I might have to pre-pone the cut off date depending on how many orders are placed within the next few weeks.

Of course, I'll still be available to answer emails, but my response time will be delayed, and possibly full of typos and/or lacking cohesion from sleep-deprivation.

(Behind me are tissue paper flowers that I made for our baby shower last week, thanks to my new Pinterest obsession. I'll be incorporating this into baby's nursery. You can follow me at @jennynemlekar for all my personal posts.)
