VIDEO: Archive Micro in Olive, Blossoms

I had a little window of time between orders and felt inspired to create something soft, floral, and feminine. So here I am, sketching out a new flower design.

…and then proceeded to cut each one out by hand.

Now, you might be wondering, “Jenny, why not just let a Cricut do the cutting?”
Fair question - I am an engineer who has a love for efficiency. But there’s something I really cherish about doing this part by hand. It’s quiet, purposeful, and meditative.

As I was working, I thought - these petals need gilded edges! I wanted each brushstroke to lightly glide over the tops, softening the flowers and giving them that wispy, airy feel.

Several peaceful hours (and lots of petals) later… just look at how many we have here!

Next comes the fun part: arranging them onto the bag. And with a snap of my fingers… a whole bouquet in bag form. Isn’t she a beauty?
